2 main principles
1. That no person is to be condemned without being heard and that justice must not only be heard, it must be seen to be done and that the he/she must be given opportunity to defend himself/herself ans state his/her case fully of the allegations leveled against him/her
2. It also requires that no man shall sit in judgment in his own case or in a case which he has interest and that person who sits in judgment must be independent and unbiased
